For nights and days when it is hot outside your comfort inside is assured thanks to the air conditioning system that operates throughout the property.

Access to the master suite and additional shower room, with separate WC and hand basin, also runs from the living area. There are doors leading to the outside decking area and steps down to the kitchen and dining area where you can enjoy long evenings together, enjoying the comfort of your surroundings.

The light and airy open-plan living area is the perfect place to unwind with a good book, indulge your passion for cooking in the well-equipped and spacious kitchen, or put your feet up, sink into the huge sofas and watch the 50inch TV with cable and DVD player. The designer dining table seats eight in comfort, but for more informal meals there is a breakfast bar as well. With its pure white walls, high ceilings and open-plan layout, the living area conveys and wonderful feeling of space and the bedrooms continue the theme. From the sumptuous linens, to designer bathrooms and plenty of storage, no expense has been spared in creating something truly memorable.

The large, open-plan kitchen and dining area will make your meal times a real treat. The kitchen itself is a model of modern luxury, with granite worktops and a centre island. breakfast bar and plenty of surface space.

There is plenty of storage in eye-level and floor cupboards and all top-of-the-range appliances including fridge, freezer, cooker, hob, dishwasher and microwave. Small appliances include an electric kettle, coffee percolator and toaster. Across the white tiled floor is a modern dining table with plenty of seating for eight formal diners. You can also enhance the setting with the flickering light from the open fire situated in the central column separating the dining and living areas of this clean, open space.

The master suite features a king-sized bed with large flat screen television, dressing room and walk-in closet. Leading off from the room is an en-suite bathroom with large soaking tub, stand alone, walk-in shower, his and hers wash basins and separate WC. Also included in the room as is an alarm clock - not that you will need one - and a hairdryer. Leading off from the bedroom are double doors granting access out to the spacious upper deck, giving you a perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or just a quiet spot to escape and get your nose into a good book.

Bedroom two has a queen-sized bed with flat screen television, large closet and use of a guest bathroom with over-bath shower, hand basin and WC. This bedroom also has a door leading out to the outside upper decking.

Bedroom three includes twin beds, and has an en-suite shower room, with basin and WC.

Bedroom four  is a versatile room that can also be used as a study as it contains high speed broadband internet connection, phone line and a desk with printer. It also includes a comfortable day bed (sleeps 2) and large closet.

All bathrooms include freshly laundered towels and are spotlessly clean, with quality tiles and modern fixtures and fittings throughout.

The spacious master en-suite features a large soaking tub, stand alone, walk-in shower, his and hers wash basins and separate WC.

The guest bathroom for bedroom two has an over-bath shower, hand basin and WC, while the en-suite bathroom for bedroom three has an en-suite shower room, with basin and WC.

On the lower level is a separate shower room, with separate WC and hand basin leading off from the living area.

The exterior of Great Palms features wonderfully landscaped grounds, tastefully planted with mature palms, shrubs and flowers. Antique lights illuminate the entrance to the property that leads up to the smooth stone stairway. The clean, modern lines featured throughout the house begin outside, but the minimalist style of the entire property never strays from being entirely welcoming.

Sliding doors leading off the open-plan kitchen and dining area lead to a large, U-shaped upper decking area with designer dining table and eight chairs with wide parasol. Why not cook an al fresco meal on the gas-fired barbecue? A spiral staircase leads down to large, covered swimming pool that is reputed to be the largest private pool on the whole island.

One thing is for sure, at 36 ft x 26 ft and with a sheer waterfall feature it was relined and tiled in the fall of 2008, it is a wonderful place to relax and have fun in safety. Around the pool there are also six sun loungers on which to put your feet up in between dips in the water. There is a comfortable seating area under the upper deck, with three outdoor sofas and two overhead fans to keep you cool on those long, hot Anna Maria Island days. Also on the lower floor is a double garage with electric opening doors and space for two cars.
